Pikes Peak
Marin County
A classic Eichler set against the Marin hills, reimagined as a series of Japanese-influenced garden rooms. A boulder-edged koi pond threads past the glass walls, and raked-gravel courtyards — anchored by basalt columns and framed by Japanese maples — read straight through the atrium’s yellow door. Ribbons of echeveria and sedum trace the foundations, a black-timbered pavilion overlooks the pool, and an outdoor kitchen sits against a living wall. From first light to the rising moon, the garden belongs equally to the architecture and to the land.
