A narrow Mill Valley lot became a series of connected outdoor rooms, wrapped in living green walls of climbing vine and bamboo for privacy. A slim steel pergola runs the length of the garden, sheltering an outdoor kitchen and dining terrace at one end and a sofa lounge with a linear fire feature at the other. Bluestone paving, glazed cobalt pots, and a lush palette of hydrangea, palm, and sculptural aeoniums in chartreuse and burgundy keep the space full from the street to the back fence.
