First, we meet at your site for a complimentary 1-hour consultation. This meeting allows us to fully understand your vision and practical needs.
We conduct a thorough walk-through of your property to evaluate key factors such as the property’s grade, natural slope, soil type, and flow patterns. This helps us assess the possibilities and scope of the project.
We ask a variety of questions to ensure we address all aspects of the project. We’ll also discuss lifestyle considerations like pets and children, as these can influence specific design elements.
Our goal is to gain a clear understanding of the project by considering form, function, and aesthetics.

We will provide a design estimate tailored to your needs and the complexity of the design.

At this stage, you’ll review images to identify the styles and elements that appeal to you, allowing you to share more specific preferences with us.
Recommended sources for inspiration include Houzz, Pinterest, magazines, and other design platforms.

Monarch develops several conceptual design options, each with an associated budget. These designs are carefully crafted to:
- Align with your budget.
- Address both your practical needs and wishes.
- Complement the unique characteristics of your property.
- Consider both short-term and long-term plans for your home.

We meet with you to review the concept sketches and material selections, refining the final design to ensure it aligns with your budget.
During this meeting, we’ll discuss any last-minute alterations or additions needed to complete your garden design and prepare for the next steps in the project.

Once you agree on the final design, we establish a schedule to begin the construction of your garden and outline a timeline for the project.

Monarch Gardens will coordinate all resources and crews to clear the site and begin bringing your dream garden to life.
We oversee every aspect of the build from the ground up, so you won’t need to coordinate with multiple contractors or crews.
Throughout the entire process, we maintain open communication, keeping you informed and up to date on the project’s progress.

Once the garden is complete, we will:
- Conduct a final walk-through with you to review the finished project.
- Provide guidance on the necessary maintenance for irrigation, drainage, and plant care.
- Present you with a comprehensive binder that identifies all plant materials in your garden and explains proper care.

We discuss the maintenance requirements and determine who will be responsible for ongoing care.
We value long-term relationships with our clients and their gardens, offering optional maintenance service contracts for continued support.
