First we meet at your site for a complimentary 1 hour visit, at which time we listen to your vision and determine your practical needs.
We do a walk through to assess the possibilities for the site itself (such as property grade, natural slope, type of soil, flow patterns), and get an idea of the scope of the project.
We ask a lot of questions and even ask you to consider pets and children, as they may influence various elements to the design that you have in mind.
We get an understanding of the project by taking a look at FORM, FUNCTION, and AESTHETIC. (see our Design page)
Design Estimate
We will offer you a design estimate based on your needs and level of design.
Images and Style
You look at images to find the style, and what appeals to you so that you can share more specifics with us.
Some places to search: Houzz, Pinterest, magazines.
Conceptual Designs
Monarch comes up with a few conceptual designs with corresponding budgets. We create design options that:
fit your budget
take into account all of the practical needs and your wish list
suit the property you have
keep in mind short-term and long-term plans for your home
Final Designs
We meet with you to review concept sketches and materials to perfect the final design that correlates with your budget.
Together we discuss any last-minute alterations, or additions to finalize your garden design and set the project in motion.
Approval
Once you agree on the final design, we set the schedule to begin the building of your garden, and establish a timeline.
Building Begins
Monarch Gardens will gather all of the resources and crews to clear and start creating the garden of your dreams.
We manage every aspect of the build, literally from the ground up so that you don’t have to spend any time coordinating with other landscape contractors or crews.
We also stay in communication with you throughout the entire project, so that you are always up to speed on the progress.
The Garden Comes Alive
Upon completion of building the garden, we will:
do a final walk-through with you.
explain the maintenance needed for irrigation, drainage, and plant care.
give you a comprehensive binder to identify the plant materials in your garden, and how to care for them.
Establish a Maintenance Schedule
We discuss what type of maintenance is required, and who will be doing the maintenance.
We enjoy long-term relationships with our clients and their gardens, and offer ongoing maintenance service contracts if desired.
